Camp Good Sam Donation Drive

A note from Jen talking about an opportunity to donate to a great cause.  Email her for more info regarding helping out.  Info about Camp Good Sam after the email.
After seeing a call for volunteers for Camp Good Sam-  see the attached link-  in our bulletin a couple of Sundays ago,  I contacted the supervisor regarding volunteer opportunities.
I was curious about how our homeschool group may be of assistance to these children who have lost loved ones.  She inquired about the possibility of our group donating disposable cameras and packs of lifesavers for the children’s welcome packs upon arrival at camp.
I think this would be a great way for us to contribute to their need.  If you are able to help monetarily, or would like to order on your own, please contact me.  I will be collecting for the donation in our group’s name.  Nothing is too small.
There are 60 campers max.
Lifesavers are $38  for 60 on Amazon
Cameras are $135 for 60 on mywedcams.com or get a 10-pack here at Amazon for $48

Camp Good SAM is an collaborative effort of Good Samaritan Hospice and YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee/Spencer. As a non-profit
hospice founded on Christian principles, Good Samaritan Hospice has served community residents in five counties surrounding
Pittsburgh since 1998 as both a home-based and residential hospice. YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee/Spencer, a non-profit charitable
camp owned by the YMCA of Pittsburgh, has served youth as a summer camp since 1926. It has developed into a facility providing
camping and conference programs to Western Pennsylvania and participants from all over the United States and around the world.
Together, Good Samaritan Hospice and YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee/Spencer are ministering to what is often a forgotten population – grieving children.
